Responsibility

• Supports the maintenance and reliability work processes, consistently striving for continual improvements.
• Has “Ownership” of overall Mechanical Integrity Program including inspection contractor.
• Optimizes inspection schedule between API Inspector, Maintenance, and Operations.
• Preliminary review of all inspection reports.
• Write corrective work orders and follow up as required for repair recommendations.
• Maintain regulatory MI inspection records and in-house PM’s.
• Coordinate/assist remediation(s) of MI findings from inspection reports.
• Provide detailed, accurate reports as determined by management.
• Review inspection records as required.
• Obtain resources and maintain code repair packages.
• Assist/coordinate misc. MI Projects (i.e. Capital, special projects).
• Maintain tracing leak and repair clamp records.

• Provides appropriate coaching and mentoring to ensure the work processes as designed are delivering meaningful business results.
• Based upon an understanding of the work processes and designed roles, provide training for required knowledge and skills, measure performance and provide feedback.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• Minimum of 5 Years’ experience or training in related subjects.
• Working knowledge of Federal and State Regulations affecting piping and fixed equipment including Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Well versed in API-510, API-570, and API-653.
• Ability to read plant standards to assure filing and work completion accuracy.
• Ability to read and verify equipment drawings/prints and specifications.
• Ability to create isometric drawings and read/redline P&ID’s.
• Ability to verify welding procedures.
• Experience in the chemical industry desired.
• Ability to reach a conclusion using relevant information and data and to determine the best course of action in a time frame that is consistent with business requirements
• Ability to provide people written information necessary to do their job correctly; ability to make relevant information known in a responsive and effective way.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with operations, technical, mechanical/electrical maintenance technicians.
• SAP experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to access all areas of the plant.
• Occasionally lifting 55 pounds.
• Mixture of sitting standing, and walking throughout the site and up and down ladders.
• Ergo requirement for computer usage.
• No special PPE requirement in working area, but needs to comply with site regulation for PPE while in plant.
