An integral and wide ranging CRM role for an expert and proactive professional

AkzoNobel’s Performance Coatings business area (BA) produces a number of leading products and brands that meet and anticipate the needs of customers all over Europe. Within Performance Coatings, the Metal Coatings Strategic Market Unit (SMU) produces a number of world leading brands that protect and enhance countless structures and consumer products worldwide.

Within this context, your mission in this role is to support the Metal Coatings Sales team by performing wide-ranging CRM activities as we organize and unite around OneCRM. In doing so you act as the focal point for the SMU for coordinating all internal (marketing, sales and customer support functions) and external (BA, IM and cross-SMU teams) interfaces.

The role and its responsibilities

This position can be based at one of our sites in either the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Germany (Hilden) or Spain (Vilafranca), from where you support the SMU Sales department by participating in communicative and promotional measures, and measuring performance.
This requires you to plan, develop and implement measures to encourage loyalty, revenue and yield optimization. You also create business reports/outputs and manage the maintenance of CRM data and implement measures to increase the quality of data.
Further you coordinate user training, user administration and user support for all CRM users in the SMU, including the production of user manuals and training materials.
On an ongoing basis you lead and promote the continuous development, improvement and adoption of CRM according to BA and cross-SMU requirements.
Thus you discuss and prioritize business requirements, provide input to IM regarding the business background and requirements, advise on process improvements, and deliver user feedback reporting. You also create change requests, approve new features and coordinate and ensure the on-time and adequate business testing of systems.
As an involved manager and ambassador you develop your teams via training, coaching and opportunities for further growth, creating an open environment where everyone can perform at their best. You also strengthen the talent pipeline, stimulating employee engagement and building a workforce to reflect the societies and markets in which we do business.
Finally, you manage and plan budgets, ensure that the reporting line is fully informed, and act in line with all HSE and Compliance regulations.

Candidate profile

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject;
- Experience in a multinational business environment and working with commercial teams;
- Experience with Master Data Management in customer and material master data is a plus;
- Experience with SAP Business Intelligence is a plus;

- Excellent communication skills including fluent written and spoken English.
