As a member of the Strategic Market Unit (SMU) Management Team contributes to the Strategic Market Unit strategy execution plan and takes a lead in defining, and owning, the specific implications for the region. Directs and leads the execution of agreed sales, selected cost from the P&L and profitability related targets; in line with the strategy initiatives and mandates within the allocated region, by driving customer focus, segment sales and technical sales and service deployment. Acts as leader in driving commercial excellence, clear segment strategy with segment specific solutions.
• Acts as most senior Sales leader in the Regional Strategic Market Unit and drives exposure and focus of the Sales organization.
• Develops sales segment strategy in close cooperation with the relevant Segment Marketing Manager.
• Leads the sales organization to develop and implement specific action plans and capabilities based on the guidelines set in the segment plans.
• Ensures clear action plans are deployed by the team for the execution of sales strategy for all segments and brands in all countries against agreed goals.
• Engages with major customers and customer groups within the allocated region on a frequent and regular basis and supports key partnership and relationships.
• Ensures understanding of present and future market trends and customer feedback within the organization to drive sales.
• Drives full usage of Customer Relationship Management System and ensures discipline throughout the sales organization to update and maintain a high standard of data management.
• Provides input for the demand forecast (operational and financial forecasts) as part of the Strategic Market Unit Integrated Business Planning process.
• Complies with the requirements of the Management Business Reviews and ensures strong and detailed preparation of budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly reviews.
• Accepts wider roles and provide expert support and resources across the Business Area in support of strategy (for example Commercial Excellence Program, Sales Force Efficiency Program, Customer Relationship Management System Champion etc.).
• As a member of the Strategic Market Unit Management Team contributes to the Strategic Market Unit strategy execution plan and takes a lead in defining, and owning, the specific implications for the region.
• Is responsible for and actively involved in development of business objectives and leads key development projects for the region.
• Familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations

• Works closely with Strategic Market Unit Management Team to ensure matrix structure operates efficiently.
• Acts as an ambassador and encouraging talent processes and engagement.

• Strengthens the talent pipeline by developing talent and regularly assesses and discusses talent and internal movement. Continuously monitors and evaluates retention risk.
