§  Closely work together with Rgional Segment Managers to c reates relevant value propositions for customer segments in accordance with the segment plans.
§  Actively manages products as a portfolio, bringing in new products and regularly eliminating obselete products, reduce complexity throughout the product portfolio ( maximize product revenue, minimizing complexity costs) in coordination with business sales- and marketing teams
§  Drive internal awareness and commercialization of new and successful products across the Businesses in China (and North Asia)
§  Develop proposals for harmonization/rationalization of overlapping products in the portfolio; Direct yearly portfolio review for each business with relevant marketing- and salesmanagers
§  Build up a product portfolio information database (eg. content in launch package) by collecting and absorbing market inputs (customer research, competitive intelligence, industry value chain analysis, trends, economic signals and competitive activity, etc.) and technical inputs (product capability and limitations) gradually
§  Eventually work as an product information exchange platform, recommending and guiding proper use of products to sales and marketing
§  Work together with Regional Segment Managers to i dentif y new product customer needs and creates specification for new products in liaison with R&D
§  Ensures effective planning, communication and progress of both new product development and NPL activities.
§  Manage ment/own ership of New Product Introduction process, a ssures the timely launch of new products into the market and follows approval processes
§  Maintains and manages the specified product ranges by customer to ensure compliance to specification set by each manufacturer.
§  Ensures that relevant product information including sales arguments ( such as competitive comparions) are provided to the sales team.
§  Provides ideas for product positioning to broader product management community.
§  Contributes to the creation of best practices in produt management through the SMU
Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.
