Purpose:
Contributes to execution of the sales, expense, profitability targets and the balance sheet established by the SMU within Supply Chain, Research & Development by performing control of all financial aspects of the Supply Chain, Research & Development operations and by managing
financial improvement projects on the sites.
 
- An expert at understanding the operations of the Supply Chain, Research & Development (SRD).

- Supports the SMU strategy in delivery of savings and indentifying of new effeciency opportunities in

- Operations, Procurement and R&D within the scope of the SRD strategy.

- Analyzes the direction of the sites and prepares business plans / strategic analyses and works out economic effects of strategic initiatives to enable decision making.

- Prepares benchmarking studies in order to improve the financial performance of the sites (coverage,
cost price system, Capital Expenditures).

- Analyzes the direction of the development labs / regional solution labs and prepares business plans/strategic analyses and works out economic effects of strategic initiatives to enable decision making.

- Prepares benchmarking studies in order to improve the financial performance of the development labs/regional solution labs (return on investment).

- Involved in and contributes to global improvement projects

- Provides business insight in cost developments in SRD operations.

- Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Education:
- BA in Accounting or related field

Experience/Skills
- Manufacturing Accounting experience
- 3-5years in cost accounting
- SAP & Excel knowledge and experience
- Understanding of budgeting process
- Coatings experience a plus
- Understanding and experience in capital projects
- Inventory management
