Job Description
  This position is responsible for the manufacture of liquid coatings using coating manufacturing equipment in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures to achieve the highest level of efficiency and productivity.
-  Manufacturing and/or making adds to liquid coatings
- Sampling and testing of product
- Completion of paperwork associated with process
- Maintain acceptable level of cleanliness
- Manage hazardous waste in their work area
- Other duties as assigned
This position is responsible for operating equipment used in manufacturing liquid coatings and performing in-process tests to determine product suitability. Standard Operating Procedures are in place for all stages of the process. Non-routine situations require that a Supervisor be notified before proceeding.   
  The Waukegan site produces a very wide range of products at sizes ranging from two to five thousand gallons. This diversity puts great demands on the Batch Makers. They must be sensitive to process variations and deal with them aggressively. Great attention to detail is needed to achieve the strict quality standards required in the aerospace industry.
 
This position requires the incumbent to maintain an awareness of the relevance and importance of the above listed responsibilities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives and customer satisfaction.  The incumbent is expected to adhere to all rules for safety and health and to the site’s environmental policies, rules and regulations.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

 
- High School degree or equivalent
- Must be able to work between the hours of 10 P.M. - 6.30 A.M. (3rd Shift)
- Ability to stand/walk most of shift
- Ability to lift 55Lb
- Ability to push/pull containers weighing up to 600Lb
- Capable of using any personal protective equipment needed
- Capable of passing any material handling tests required
- Capable of demonstrating competency in both the process and the testing of product
- Able to follow written instructions acquired from a batch ticket
- Strong attention to detail required
