One of our Specialty Chemical business units, Pulp and Performance Chemicals (PPC) has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate, experienced professional to assume the role of Global Preventative Maintenance Manager.  This is a global position for the Business Unit, supporting close to 30 sites worldwide. The candidate will need to establish a strong Maintenance and Process Safety Management (PSM) Network within the Business Unit in order to meet the job requirements. This position will work in close cooperation with the site operations & maintenance, Business Area and AN Corporate personnel to insure highest safety and availability of key production equipment. It also assumes the leading role in improving electrical systems and projects for PPC sites.
 
The preferred location for this position is Columbus, MS. The incumbent will travel approximately 40%-50% both domestically and internationally to other manufacturing sites.

This position will have the following responsibilities:
- Manages PPC Global preventive & predictive maintenance program in conjunction with BA standards. Interfaces with BA and Corporate functional teams to gain understanding of standards and lead deployment across PPC sites.
- Analyzes and generates recommendations and practices on critical equipment (PSM and non-PSM) for AkzoNobel PPC.
- Manages key stakeholders across 32+ PPC Manufacturing locations to ensure implementation of above mentioned maintenance recommendations to all PPC sites
- Determines minimum critical equipment list per product segment and ensures sites’ list are compliant with recommendations
- Maintains upated status of high power equipment (transformers, rectifiers, power filters, etc.).
- Act as a Global technical reference across multiple business lines for all high power equipment related projects (new equipment acquisition, replacement, optimization) Scout BAT in terms of plant maintenance and highs power equipment monitoring
- Manage governance, analyze and report PPC maintenance performance vs world class via relevant KPIs
- Key participant in developing and implementing objectives for the Annual Operating Plan- Leads to achieve World Class Metrics for Preventive Maintenance and OEE
- Proactively seeks and implements cost improvement opportunities
- Assist Operations and Technical Personnel in optimizing or troubleshooting electrical control systems
- Maintain knowledge and Improve the level of knowledge and training within the Technical, Maintenance, and Production Department with respect to electrical systems
- Manage and governance Network with all PPC site maintenance personnel

- Facilitates PM/PdM/MTBF programs and analysis- Supports troubleshooting activities as required to support Plant Maintenance
- Proactively seeks and implements cost improvement opportunities

The position reports directly to the Global Technology and RD&I Director and serves as Global Team-RD&I Leadership Team member. This position is an individual contributor.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

E lectrical engineering degree with minimum 5 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing, plant maintenance, and/or project management. 
 
Physical Requirements: Must be able to access any are of the facility intended for personnel presence.  The work environment requires walking, inspecting, climbing in an industrial setting with outside weather conditions.
