This position reports to the Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager and is responsible for routine testing of in-process and final samples, ensuring product meets specifications prior to shipping to our customers. Testing includes routine laboratory wet methods analyses, gas chromatography and HPLC analyses. This position also calculates process adjustments, is responsible for final production disposition, is involved on re-testing and investigations for customer complaints, does calibration of some laboratory equipment and is involved on continuous improvement processes on site. Good housekeeping duties that result in a safe laboratory environment are essential.
- Perform routine product testing using wet methods.
- Calculate process adjustments and direct final product disposition.
- Perform GC and HPLC analyses.
- Calibrate QC’s instrument including HPLC and GC. 
- Perform troubleshooting and ensure analytical instruments availability for operations analysis at all times.
- Review calibration performance for possible remedial investigation.
- Record tests in QT and enter analysis in SAP.
- Maintain clean and safe laboratory.
- Serve as process improvement team member, providing technical assistance as needed.
- Actively participate in continuous processes on site.
Employee must be able to work in plant, office, and laboratory environments. 
Employee must have flexibility to work on second or third shifts.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- A.S. Chemistry minimum or 3 plus year’s lab experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge/ experience on GC and HPLC.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred).
- Introduction to Statistical Process Control techniques.
- SAP (preferred), Microsoft Office, HPLC and GC instrument.
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
This a 3rd shift position, 4- 10 hour days (Monday-Thursday) 5:00p.m.-3:00a.m.
