Responsibility

Pro-actively manage the Import and export activities within own operation centre across BUs and functions in close cooperation with the internal stakeholders while staying well-aligned with the corporate requirements. Act as the people manager of the operation centre employees.
 
Scoping: this includes (but is not limited to): all import and export process related activities, such as custom clearance, forwarder management, import and export contracts management, etc.
 
Key Interfaces:
1 ) Business Units: work with the business supply chain and related functions, such as R&D, Finance, IM, Purchasing, Sales and Customs Service to clearly define the business process and service level agreement , month review  the service performance, and whenever there is business requirement change
2) Logistics Service Provider : work closely with BU and NPR on forwarder management
3) China Customs and related government department: keep good relationship with China custom and related government department to well understand and meet government regulation requirement
 
Other: the job holder is responsible to lead the operation centre working on the import and export daily tasks, and to drive operational excellence, service level improvement, suppliers management, cost savings and process innovation. Secures and uninterrupted and timely support to all BUs within specifications.

Know How
Qualifications/ Education:
 
·         Bachelor ’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or other relevant discipline preferred
·         Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience including in a significant (international) commercial role
 
Management/ General Skills
 
 
 
·         Good communication and interpersonal skills, influencing, entrepreneurship, strong result orientation and drive, problem solving, project management, team working/building with different levels of seniority (both internal and external).
·         Capability of selling ideas, concepts and programs to internal customers and suppliers and up and down the relevant AN organizations, ability to work under minimal supervision with broad direction.
·         B e able to manage conflicting business interests, understand and be able to establish common ground in organizational (including cross BU) barriers.
·         Ability to perform, understand and communicate detailed information analysis and evaluation
 
Functional Skills:
 
·         Experienced Import and export professional ism with broad understanding of import and export knowledge in chemicals industry  
·         Operational excellence, experience of Lean 6 S igma is preferred
·         Strategic thinking
·         Expertise and knowledge of Logistics in general and import and export   specially
·         Ability to assess underlying business impact of a specific course of action and business / process change
·         Fluent in English
•       Understanding of business processes, financial planning and business in general
•       Customer focused
•       Knowledge of SAP
