Of graduate calibre you are commercially astute and have experience gained in category management. Now you are looking for an opportunity to work in a business that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. Look no further than AkzoNobel. Home to world class products including the Dulux Super Brand, we’re now looking for a Category Analyst to develop and provide category, shopper and customer analysis and actionable insight for our Trade business.
As Category Analyst you will support the brand planning process to drive sales and profits for AkzoNobel and our customers. This will involve gaining a deep understanding of the trade category, shopper and trends. You will monitor competitor activity and produce customer updates as well as deliver ongoing reporting and actionable insights for our trade categories. Important will be the ability to deliver accurate and timely data. You will also enhance our capabilities by building relationships with existing and new data and insight suppliers as well as work to continuously improve information available to the business. You will present performance data and insights to customers as needed too.

Of graduate calibre you will have experience of category management, research and data analysis. You will have gained advanced data analytical skills and are able to summarise and communicate complex ideas, analysis and insight easily. Comfortable identifying commercial opportunities at both a strategic and tactical level you will be results orientated and focussed on adding value. An effective communicator you will be good at solving problems and have an understanding of key business software. You will also be the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
