JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer orders on SAP and for providing effective verbal and written communications with customers and internal contacts to support product selection, demand, and order fulfilment activities.

AREA JOB COVERS
Located in Cleveland, Ohio and supports customer communication for North America.
 
ORGANISATIONAL INFORMATION
Representative must interface with sales representatives, the Demand Manager, and manufacturing.
 
In addition to all of the responsibilities of a Customer Representative II, the Customer Service Representative I is also responsible for:
- Manage over $15 million dollars of business and successfully handle at least one key account ( over $1 million in annual sales )
- By being proactive with customers, help reduce inventory levels, accounts receivables, and customer complaints.
- Work with the Customer Service Supervisor to continuously improve the effectiveness of the customer service group.
- Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.
- Attend and participate in Powder Plant Programs/Committees/Training as required, such as Department Safety, Plant Safety, Behavioral Safety, Housekeeping Audit Teams, ISO, Life Saving Rules or any other safety programs.
- Participate in the Powder Safety Journey. Adhere to the Golden Principle which is   Simply to intervene to stop work if conditions or behavior are unsafe.
- Promotes health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Performs other duties as required for the success of AkzoNobel Coatings Inc.
Additional responsibilities:
 
- Provide any data or reports needed by the Customer Service Supervisor, Demand Manager, Sales or Marketing Managers, Quality Managers and Supply Chain Manager to ensure customer satisfaction or to improve profitability of powder coatings.
- Prepare monthly reports on all targeted and Top 20 accounts assigned to the representative.
- Others, as required.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Minimum HS Diploma/GED required/some college preferred

- Strong typing and accurate data entry skills.

- Demonstrated understanding and use of PC software such as Word, Access and Excel. SAP experience preferred
- Experience in an Industrial Customer Service position or related Industrial experience.
- Minimum of three years experience as a customer service representative
