AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Paper business is searching for an experienced Site Manager for our Columbus, MS site. This position will be responsible for operations of the site to meet targets and the strategic initiatives with respect to safety, health and environment, production volume, costs, product quality, capital investments, corporate directives, and plant personnel. The Site Director will participate in the Operations Management team for North America.

Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for general health, safety and environmental conditions & results of the facility
• Deliver productivity in Fixed Manufacturing cost and Variable Manufacturing cost per the business' targets
• Development and Implementation of administrative policies, activities, and programs for the Columbus Site
• Practice, embrace and promote the AkzoNobel Values at the site
• Preparation and implementation of fixed costs and capital budget
• Maintain and update organizational responsibilities and staff objectives
• Responsible to deliver productivity for the Columbus Site in line with Integrated Supply Chain targets
• Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing organization
• Manage local electric power contracts
• Responsible for overall PEM results to insure proper maintenance to protect company assets
• Work and coordinate with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance for health, safety, environmental and transportation pertaining to the site
• Work within the ERP Accounting System to purchase items, commit funds and approve purchases as defined in corporate policy

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relative engineering disciplines
• 10+ years related experience preferably within chemicals industry
• 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Previous site management experience
• Ability to lead, engage and coach others
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
• Skilled at organizing, prioritizing workflow and coordinating the work of others
• Collaborative cross-functional team player
• Ability to write speeches, and present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, apply mathematical operations to tasks.
