Akzo Nobel Functional Chemicals GmbH in Köln-Niehl is looking for you as a
Production Manager (m/f)
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure sound and timely production and logistics of products in the requested quantity and quality
- Ensuring the operational readiness of all production systems and facilities
- Participate in the preparation, planning and execution of investments
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and internal regulations for safe operation
- Ensuring the required number of staff and the corresponding training demand
- Control of targets in the fields of energy consumption, the economic use of raw materials and process optimization
- Ensuring compliance with environmental limits, immediate reporting of excursions and taking corrective actions
- Definition of the necessary work priorities, targets and deadlines in the context of business-related planning and targets
- Coordination of activities according to the task description of the production assistant and shift supervisors

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Your Qualifications:
- Graduate engineer in chemistry or chemical engineering
- Experience in leading larger teams in production or project engineering
- Ability to combine practical experience with sound theoretical background
- Experience in Continuous Improvement and ALPS
- Familiar with Lean 6 Sigma project methodology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German.  
- Must be able to travel internationally
