The Waukegan, IL facility supplies Aerospace Coatings to the Commercial Airline, General Aviation and the Military Air markets. Job Summary
Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the effective management and coordination of the maintenance activities at the Waukegan, IL site concerned with installation and maintenance, both preventive and required, for plant facilities, property and equipment to minimize down time.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Plans, directs and supervises all maintenance activities, both internal and contracted, for the Waukegan facility. Ensures skilled labor and supply costs stay within approved budgets. Obtains quotations for capital projects. Ensures staff and contracted personnel adhere to all site HSE regulations.
· Manages all maintenance personnel, including setting goals and objectives, evaluation of performance, training to improve capabilities, and corrective actions when necessary.
· Plans and executes maintenance projects required to keep plant, property and equipment functioning, protecting the employees, assets, community, customers, and shareholders. Responsibility for the Waukegan facility that employs approximately170 people.
· Responsible for fire alarm and burglar alarm systems. Insures site is secured properly through perimeter security upkeep.
· Responsible for site security force (contracted 24-7) to ensure site is protected from intrusion.
· Serves as the site’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) representative.
· Responsible for contracted janitorial service to ensure cleanliness of the site and general facilities maintenance.
· Coordinates and manages all third-party and internal calibrations; this includes writing all calibration related purchase orders and maintaining all AS9100C requirements at a satisfactory level.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

1. College degree is required; engineering degree is highly preferred
2. 3-8 years of industrial experience
3. Broad experience with chemical, mechanical, and/or electrical systems
4. Experience in chemical batch manufacturing is a plus
5. Strong leadership and communication skills
6. Strong knowledge in MS Office Suite. CAD experience is a plus.
7. SAP experience is a plus.
