One of our Specialty Chemical business units, Pulp and Performance Chemicals (PPC) has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate, experienced professional to assume the role of Global Human Resources Business Partner.   This position will set the HR priorities for the Integrated Supply Chain, as well as Bleaching Chemicals for North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific; deploy HR knowledge for the benefit of the strategic and tactical businesses and HR objectives.


This position will be located in Marietta, Georgia. The incumbent will travel approximately 30%-40% both domestically and internationally to manufacturing sites.

Things you aren’t always aware of, but which you rely on each and every day. You’ll find our essential ingredients in a whole host of products, including tissues, diapers, packaging, shoe soles, automotive coatings and sealants, decorative paints and coatings, smartphones, champagne corks, concrete, wallpaper, batteries, LED lamps, and pharmaceuticals. We work with industrial customers all over the world who count on our trusted and reliable brands, such as Eka, Expancel, Kromasil and Levasil Colloidal Silica.


Responsibilities:
- Develops (strategic) workforce plans addressing long- and short-term organizational needs for competence and size.

- Drives functional excellence through the use of repeatable HR models, execution of improved HR processes and productive delivery of outcomes.

- Translates along with the Senior HR Business Partner the HR strategic plan into a tactical / operational HR plan for MFU BC NAEA and the functions and is co-responsible for the implementation and execution.

- Strengthens proactive people and workforce-related advice and is co-responsible for the implementation of people strategies and solutions within MFU BC NAEA and the functions. First point of contact for Senior HR Business Partners regarding tactical people issues.

- Analyzes both business reports and HR data to translate the information into practical insights and recommendations for Directors, Senior HR Business Partner, CoEs and HR Services.

- Responds to changing business conditions, challenges and needs. Furthermore manages organizational effectiveness through adequate management of change initiatives on people areas.

- Drives Talent Management and Performance Management in the Cluster and provide coaching to cluster managers at different levels ensuring culture of high performance and engagement.

- Responds to complex escalated issues from CoE and HR Operations.

- Takes care of employees who are in conflict with supervisors.

- Ensures compliance within the internal company policies and procedures (HR, compliance training, functional codes) and supervises adherence to the external laws in the Cluster

- Initiate settlement in conjunction with restructuring and organizational changes

- Helps the business manage M&A

- Actively support that job descriptions are in place

Job requirements/Candidate profile


- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, legal or other related areas 
- At least 10 years of work experience in multinational business environment. 
- Worked in multiple countries. (Fluent in English. Culture awareness and experience from international work.) 
- Worked in 2 or more different industries or Business Units 
- Working experience in 2 or more functional areas of expertise 
- Led at least one major project across 2 or more units, countries or functions (change management, labor unions, business models, HR Tools) 
- Managed direct teams of 3 or more; led departments of 10 or more employees 
- Preferably was previously a member of local or regional MT(s)
