Responsibility

AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry has the global experience, expertise and sustainable solutions to help the oilfield industry enhance its production, drilling and stimulation processes. Our portfolio of products with advanced functionalities allows our customers to select solutions that best fit their specific needs in any particular oilfield application. We currently have an opening for an Account Manager- Oilfield for the Greater Houston Area. Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for maintaining current and developing new customers in the Oilfield segment in the primarily in the Southern US, with additional responsibility in Canada.
• Selling: maintain and expand position at existing accounts, meeting aggressive growth targets
• Prospecting: locating and developing new customers, meeting aggressive growth targets
• Targeting: allocating time among prospects and customers
• Communicating: providing information about the company’s products and services
• Servicing: consulting and providing technical/formulation support
• Information Gathering: Identify new customers, new products, and new applications, conduct market research and intelligence work, including competitors
• Organization: maintain Call Plans, Key Account Plans and New Business Opportunities
• Follow up and resolve customer accounts receivable issues
• Accurate forecasting entered in Arkeiva and communicated to Demand Planning
• Keep CRM account profiles, activities and contacts current
• Write timely contact reports on all customer meetings involving substantial or new information
• Receive and interpret customer complaints. Assist in its investigation, resolution and response

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Chemistry or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 to10 years sales experience required; Oilfield Chemicals or Field Applications experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Oilfield Production, Drilling, and Stimulation and Completion required
• Ability to interact within multicultural settings and capture and communicate competitive intelligence relating to the oilfield market segment
• Must be self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic with above average interpersonal and presentation skills
• Knowledge of CRM and MS Office (strong Excel skills) required: SAP a plus
• This role will requires a valid driver’s license, passport and over 50% overnight travel
