AkzoNobel Performance Coatings has an outstanding opportunity for a Service Consultant in our Vehicle Refinishes division. 

This position can be based out any major city in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina or South Carolina.

Key Objectives of the Job
The Service Consultant is a member of the Services Team that supports the Sale Team by conducting business reviews and evaluations with nominated customers and distributors by providing both financial and operational analysis and recommendations. The Service Consultant manages the implementation of all Acoat program activities for assigned areas. In addition, they contribute to sales and profit target achievements

Responsibilities:
• Identifies prospective customers for participation in Acoat program by following qualification procedures to ensure participants meet quality guidelines of program.
• Plans and communicates all activities with Sales, Distribution and Collision Centers.
• Responsible for services participating in creating Mutual Action Plan for both the Collison Center and the Distributor.
• Insures partners are in compliance with program standards on an ongoing basis and recommends partnership termination when necessary by monitoring performance standards to maintain integrity of program.
• Manages Collision Centers in the development and implementation of business and marketing plans by supervising the evaluation process of marketing potential, operations and finance, competitive data and the development of objectives and strategies to provide specific understanding of how to implement the resources required.
• Supervises performance versus plan objectives and recommends strategies to correct deficiencies on a monthly basis by monitoring inter-firm comparison results to increase the productivity of the Collision Center or Distributor.
• Facilitates Acoat education series classes and performance groups.
• Provides educational forums on industry trends, regulations and technologies by monitoring association data, governmental reports, industry activities and trade show participation to insure the partners have comprehensive understanding of factors that influence their business.
• Recommends strategies to integrate program into the marketing plan by gaining comprehensive understanding of the plan, objectives, customer needs and competitive activities to ensure compliance between the plans.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• High School diploma with relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a business development, process improvement, consulting and/or training related role.
• Prior experience working in the body shop or vehicle refinishes industry is a big plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong presentation skills.
• Great interpersonal and listening skills with a consultative, “big picture” mindset.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Technical writing experience with the ability to write reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence.
• Prior experience in finance.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to travel over 75% of time.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
