- Is accountable for managing all company product-related supply plans. Uploads the supply plans for DRP purpose.
- Coordinates the monthly aggregate supply planning processes.
- Validates the monthly aggregate Supply Plan against known key constraints through Rough-Cut Resource Planning.
- Recommends changes to capacity, e.g. process-line capacity increase, or resource levels to support future demand plans.
- Critiques and analyses supply plans to provide integrated understanding.
- Prepares input and analysis over the 24 month rolling horizon for the Supply Review.
- Facilitates the monthly Supply Review and weekly demand control meetings,
- Ensures Planning Master Data accuracy and integrity through robust data management processes and routine monthly auditing. 
- Ensures Planning Master Data is fit for purpose at all times, and properly represents all supply chain needs in the planning systems.
- Works with the Demand Planning Manager to develop supply plans that meet demand as far as possible.
- Works with Supply Planners of AkzoNobel sister SMU’s on production for other SMU’s.
- Ensures that the planning processes and people behaviors maintain valid (material, capacity, resources) supply plans at all levels of detail.
- Manages supply assumptions database, sensitivities, risks and opportunities.
- Provides scenario planning and modeling, and makes recommendations, to support supply-related decision-making.
- Has robust links to demand and replenishment planning.
- Represents the link between Supply and Demand.  Limits, and facilitates demand-side interactions with Manufacturing.
- Ensures consistency between the Item level Master Supply Plan and Schedule to the agreed aggregate Supply Plan by product family.
- Participates actively in the on-going Integrated Reconciliation process.
- Responds to management requests for strategic inventory or strategic Safety Stock.  Challenges requests when necessary.
- Models and recommends stocking strategies and inventory deployment models to support cost effective business performance.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Sound business qualifications at (post) graduate level in a relevant business area.
- Minimum of 5 years business experience in logistics/ supply chain positions. A strong background in an operations environment and feel for numbers.
- Good communication skills in both the local and English language, written as well  as verbal.
- A professional and flexible nature.
- Understands concepts of ‘independent demand’, and protects it through planning master data and behaviors.
- Competent in key principles of Material Requirements Planning , Distribution Requirements Planning ,  Master Production Schedule, Rough Cut Capacity Planning.
- Has the ability to ‘tell it as it is’ to all levels. Is well organized / good memory for detail and strong in working with numbers.
- Strong ability to work with the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system in the PP-PI, MM and inventory management modules, MS-Excel.
