Responsibilities:
• Participate as the technical representative on functional business teams.
• Evaluate new materials, develop testing methods, and write specifications where applicable.
• Perform evaluations and trials necessary to develop creative/innovative solutions to customer problems.
• Develop, document and implement tests, standards, and procedures to ensure that products perform to customer specifications.
• Mentor other scientists, engineers and technicians with the expertise in chemistry.
• Clearly communicate results, analysis, interpretations, theories, models, and conclusions to management, marketing, and customer succinctly.
• Responsible for assuring that the systems and procedures used to support customers and projects are documented, implemented, and effectively used and are consistent with the policies contained in the Quality System Manual and its supporting documents.
• Remain current on technical advances in the coating industry and other allied industries.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• BS or MS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in formulating / product development in the coating industry preferred. (Will train new graduates).
• Experiences in both WB and SB coating formulations
• Experiences in formulation development in cast films preferred
• Familiar with various additives and suppliers used in coating formulations
• Experiences in conventional gravure printing and digital printing a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Highly motivated and result oriented individual
