For our sites in Münster and in Oldenburg we are currently looking for a

Site Manager (m/f)
In this position you will be responsible for the safe operation of our Coating sites in Oldenburg and Münster, ca. 80 employees at each site. You will be part of the management team to meet all aspects of site operations. Both sites have been recently acquired by AkzoNobel and one of your main responsibilities will be to ensure that the sites will be run according to the AkzoNobel standards. Another focus is the project management for the transfer of parts of the operations to our site in Hilden. Due to the transfer of operations, this role is on a 3 year’s fixed contract, but will open you future possibilities within AkzoNobel. 

- Plans, leads, organizes and controls the delivery of the site’s contribution to business objectives and overall performance
- Implements and operates the common HSE platform and identifies and respond effectively to hazards in HSE and security and ensures that all operations are in accordance with the AkzoNobel compliance expectations and the local and national regulating authorities
- Ensures that the Integrated Supply Chain strategy is cascaded to the site organization effectively
- Establishes, achieves, enforces and continuously improves the performance levels for the site
- Establishes a culture of functional and operational excellence, continuous improvement and accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values and behaviors
- Networks with other site managers/ stakeholders inside and outside of AkzoNobel to develop and share knowledge, experience, leverage best practice and exchange of/ and building talents
- Actively seeks to use the Lean and Six Sigma methodology to solve chronic problems and remove waste

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Job Requirements:
- University degree in business management, engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in a plant, site and / or production management role with good leadership skills
- Very good project management skills
- Extensive Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Knowledge in Lean Management and Six Sigma
- Good knowledge of working as part of a global organization with a strong corporate culture
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Fluent German and English skills are a prerequisite
