This is a remote position that can be based out of any major city in the US; preferably Florida (Orlando), Southern California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Iowa, or Minnesota.

Objective:
Serves Akzo Nobel Coatings CV Customers by assisting them to reach higher levels of quality and capacity through the effective application of Akzo Nobel solutions. Grows volume in the territory (geographically) through long-term relationships of direct purchase customers.

Responsibilities:
• Achieves assigned territory budget and business plan by growing new business while supporting existing customers and tier suppliers. Coordinate support to add value at the end user level.

• Has a professional understanding of the features and benefits of all products and services and is able to effectively communicate them to customers and prospects.

• Continually develops relationships with customers to promote and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention through monthly calls, audits and review meetings.

• Evaluates customer issues and needs then develops plans for resolution by providing the correct team resource. Coordinate required resources by interfacing with Technical, Manufacturing, Customer Service, AkzoNobel labs, AkzoNobel environmental, other AkzoNobel business units, or distribution partners. .

• Educates customers on technical requirements of Akzo Nobel CV and CR paint product lines along with IT products.

• Delivers annual business reviews and assists in the development of business, marketing, continuous improvement, and growth plans. Understands customers’ manufacturing operations and financials.

• Maximizes paint efficiency through the sales process and coordination of resources.

• Participates in customer-specific programs and initiatives to expand the AkzoNobel business relationship

• Coordinate field inspections and local market needs

• Completes all required reports on a timely basis.

• Oversee and communicate technical audits per requirements

• Manages expense budgets, company assets and diagnostic equipment so as to maximize the use of company resources.
• Works with all divisions under the Akzo Nobel umbrella to increase sales through team prospecting/selling.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college preferred
• Minimum 5 years of coatings sales experience in the Automotive industry
• Knowledge and experience of the Commercial Vehicle Builder\ Body Builder\ Manufacturing Segments is required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Power Point.
• SAP experience at some levels will also be required
• Knowledge and experience of the Commercial Vehicle Builder\ Body Builder\ Manufacturing Segments is required
• Must be customer focused, deliver on commitments, have a passion for excellence, and demonstrate winning as a team
• Able to travel up to 75%
