People Services 1st Line Contact Support Team Leader
UK People Services, Altrincham
Salary circa £35,000 plus an excellent benefits package including bonus potential, contribution pension scheme and many more. 

The role of the People Services 1st Line Contact Support Team Leader is to lead a team of (4-5) 1st Line HR Administrators. The 1st Line Team are responsible as that first essential point of contact for over 3000 employees and Line Managers who seek generalist support on a wide range of HR queries including but not limited to processing new starters, leavers and dealing with a wide range of queries from compensation and benefits, absence, and overtime, through to notice periods and holidays.

Responsibilities of the Team Leader

- Continually improves productivity, efficiency & service performance of the team through effective utilisation of resources, coaching & training, leading to the highest level of customer service delivery.

- The first point of contact for escalated cases.

- Plan, coordinate and supervise activities, processes and tasks in own team and take corrective actions when needed.

- Ensure staffing, lead, coach and appraise employees, and develop (the cooperation between) employees of the own team.

- Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports;

- Identify business needs and/or opportunities for improvement on work processes, techniques and systems, formulate proposals for improvement and execute these after approval;

- Execute administrative tasks, advise the own team on or formulate possible solution directions. 

- Plan, manage and co-ordinate assigned (portfolio of) projects and ensure execution and delivery.

- Develops and implements year plan and objectives for the assigned transactional team, within guidelines, (business) plans and policies, in order to ensure the realization of agreed objectives and targets.

Job requirements
- CIPD qualified or experience within a similar role would be desirable.

- Experience with HR supporting technology would be an advantage.

- Exceptional organisational skills and a mind for process improvement are required.

- English language skills, written and verbal are essential.

- In depth knowledge of the processes within the HR services organisation would be desirable.

- Result orientation, problem solving, (project) management, customer orientation

- Line Management experience.
