Objective:
The Technical Service Rep IV provides support to the North American organization, to distributors and end-user customers, assists in the product development process, and resolves problems related to product and application. S/he works with sales, technical, and service support to find the best solution for our customers.

Responsibilities:
• Provide information and training to distributors for AkzoNobel’s products Webinars on complaint process, assisting product management on new product releases
• Develop distributor technical capabilities through technical training programs Technical Distributor training programs i.e. the four teared program
• Develop distributors’ skills for implementing cost savings and efficiency improvement plans for end-users based on the application of technical solutions. This as a result of CBT testing maintain / create TDS information in accordance with the PIF and lab. Updates TDS and Program notes as needed. Participate in the automated TDS global project.
• Supports the maintenance and updating of the Program Notes for the ATC’s in conjunction with the TDS information and Instructors. Key to gain Instructors feedback and buy in for changes
• Support the launch of new product Webinars and field activities as needed
• Utilize technology and troubleshooting skills to identify and propose improvements to help improve and optimize the application of AkzoNobel’s products. through Competitive Bench Mark Testing
• Assist customers in new product use and application by providing product information/support, design and coordination of field trials of new products, data gathering and analysis/reporting as well as analytics. Test Market coordination and evaluation tools.
• Establish a network across AkzoNobel’s technical organizations in order to identify technologies that are potentially relevant to AkzoNobel’s customers. Attend Wig calls and monitor feedback from the field for competitive disadvantages and advantages
• Assists in gaining system approval for product application to ensure criteria are met. Work in conjunction with the lab on new product projects coordinating application trials.
• Investigates researches and resolves problems related to product performance and system selection to ensure customer satisfaction. Competitive Benchmark Testing
• Assists in the evaluation and selection of equipment related to the paint process to ensure specifications are met. Keeps in tune with mark changes and makes sure we are aware of new trends: example Symach drying systems, Rapid Repair systems
• Assists in the collaboration of product profiles, product testing and trials and maintain records on testing, systems approvals to ensure proper documentation.
• Maintains knowledge of Fleet refinishing equipment and techniques. Understands and able to develop Technical Fleet Training programs
• Train the Tech Line on product related topics and ahead of new product launches.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
• Knowledge of vehicle refinishing products and procedures required
• Experience with application and drying equipment
• Knowledge of testing standards and evaluation of results; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial truck/large application/refinishing products and procedures preferred.
• Must be customer focused, deliver on commitments, have a passion for excellence, and be part of a team focused on winning together.
