Internal Engagement Manager (UK)

You are a communications graduate with extensive internal and/or change communications experience in a fast paced blue chip organization working with senior stakeholders and exec members. Now you are looking for a bigger challenge in a company that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. That company is AkzoNobel. We’re now looking for an Internal Engagement Manager to support and contribute to our global internal engagement strategy.
As Internal Engagement Manager in our Integrated Communications team in the UK, you will work to measurably increase levels of engagement and pride among UK staff by developing and executing an employee communications plan. You will develop multi-channel internal communications programmes and campaigns while ensuring activities support core principles and reflect our purpose to create everyday essentials making people’s lives more liveable and inspiring. Working with other key stakeholders you will help build a single company culture. This will include providing counsel and coaching on internal communications related topics to local business units and sites as well as planning and executing key internal engagement events. You will also network with the business to generate content as well as edit internal publications. Important will be the ability to monitor and measure performance as well as share learning.
Through your energy, enthusiasm and gravitas you will be experienced at designing and implementing internal communications strategies you can demonstrate the ability to create new and inspiring ways to increase engagement. You understand change communications and have good knowledge of internal communications techniques and social engagement platforms as well as the ability to translate these into locally relevant engagement opportunities. Comfortable building relationships with key internal stakeholders across the company, you have excellent project management skills. You are also the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
