Responsibility

Do you have technical experience from a support function and enjoy working in contact with customers? Do you enjoy a role that requires great individual responsibility, but at the same time giving you freedom in your work? Then you may be our new Technical Business Partner.
 
As a Technical Business Partner in the Metal Coatings business area, you have a broad role where you work technically, but also with commercial responsibility in close collaboration with Key Account / Regional Account Managers. You work extensively with our customers to provide your technical service expertise. You develop, implement and / or optimize work processes and systems, with the aim of improving customers' ability to work more efficiently and continue to improve their business. The starting point for you will be to work with established customers in the Nordic countries.
 
This is a role of high visibility within the organization and for the right person there are very good opportunities to grow within AkzoNobel. You will report to Technical Business Partner Manager Nordics, and the service is based in Malmö but with the option of starting from another location.
Your main areas of responsibility include:
- Work as the customer's main contact at AkzoNobel and be a strong driving force for to support customer development
- Take part in and lead internal processes and improvement projects
- Perform regular audits and provide appropriate training with our customers
- Identify opportunities to reduce customers' operating costs by being main responsible to conduct line trials and provide technical support on the customer lines to help optimize their processes
- With the help of your expertise, support KAM / Sales Managers with development of comprehensive strategies
- Work closely with RD&I to develop competitive products.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Educational background within Engineering in Chemistry and/or Process, or work experience that is considered equivalent
- Technical experience from other support functions
- Experience of paint and lacquer for metal is highly credible, specifically in coil coatings and / or packaging (FCG)
- Fluent language skills in at least 1 Nordic language and English, in writing and orally
- Possibility to travel about 60% of your working hours, both day trips and overnight stays.
For this position, we seek you who have a great technical interest and a willingness to continue to develop your skills, probably towards a more commercial role. You also need a service-oriented approach and good communication skills, both internally and externally to customers. As you will run a lot of your own processes, you must also be able to work independently and feel a driving force in your work. The ability and experience to work structured, strategic and long-term is necessary.
