AkzoNobel currently has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Control Analyst for North America operations.
The Credit Control Analyst will provide operational credit management and collection activity to each SMU within North America for the 5 states not in scope to be transitioned to BPO Infosys. Liaising with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues and share information relating directly to the retained activity for the 5 states. This excludes cash application but may include customer contact to resolve cash application issues on behalf of BPO where direct customer contact by telephone is necessary.

Key Accountabilities and Tasks
• Cash collection activity, daily progressing by telephone and letter overdue trade receivables
• Prepare credit reports on customers
• Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of credit master data within credit policy and procedures
• Control of credit lines for new and existing customers
• Investigate and resolve daily credit held order issues
• Progressing of overdue debts preparing paperwork for lawyers and liaising with external legal representatives including liquidators/receivers
• Inform management of collections and credit issues and work closely with SMU sales/finance teams to resolve issues preventing collection
• Develop and implement measures to improve collection performance of overdue accounts
• Performs annual reviews of credit limits
• Idea generator and implementation management at regional level for retained activity and within the 5 states
• Process and tool standardization within North America

Essential Experience
• 3 years operational credit management – business to business
• Bi-Lingual a plus 
• Working within global process/policy design
• Working within a multicultural environment
• Credit risk assessment 
• Financial statement analysis

Desirable Experience
• Operational credit experience in more than one SMU/BU
• Operational credit experience in more than one country
• Performance coatings business knowledge 

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
