• Responsible for HSE & S within regional manufacturing with important focus on process and behavioral safety and environmental compliance.
• Communicates and promotes the approved BU-strategy and develops plans and budgets for manufacturing and investment and integrates these into three-year operating plans and budgets, with responsibility for approval and execution of all investment budgets and projects (consistent with BU approval authority).  Generates short and long-term investment plans.
• Has overall responsibility for all site FMC (including approval of site budgets, etc.), with responsibility for raw material usage and variance (not price), as well as for site headcount levels.
• Directs implementation of plans and attainment of technological and technical development, including process research, as initiated by or in conjunction with the Dir. Technology.  Oversees planning, control, information management and reporting for the manufacturing sites with responsibility for same.  Identifies and analyzes changing manufacturing conditions and production performance and undertakes timely corrective action to optimize performance. 
• Ensures effective use of production capacity and continued productivity and volume increases while meeting requirements for quality, cost control, safety and environment.  Assures the responsible use of physical plants and production capacity to optimize production.   Ensures that products are produced in accordance with prescribed requirements of safety, health and environment for transportation and use.
• Creates optimal conditions for the functions and personnel directed.  Designs and implements clear organizational, reporting and communication structures which make optimal use of available Human Resources.  Is responsible for Talent Development and Management at the sites, including the Leadership Talent Review process, with focus on SE potentials and D&I initiatives. and is  responsible

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- 10 years+ manufacturing management experience in chemical industry, rich experience on high HSE risk product manufacturing
- Bachelor’s Degree, Science preferred, MBA is plus
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to drive a performance based culture and motivate organizations
- Strong capability on long term strategy planning and short term execution
- Mindset on continuous improvement and capability to push change happen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be fluent in English
- Strong coordination capability to gain stake holders’ commitment
- Understanding if multi-culture in Asia and has a bility to lead multi-functional teams
