 Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities

• Ensure technicians are working at 85% time on task and productivity is met according to standards.
• Actively participate in the implementation of TRACC/ALPS CI activities.
• Observe and follow up to ensure all standard practices are being followed with a high level of discipline, especially for safety related items, standard rates, 5S, traceability, and time on task. Provide on the spot training on any deficiencies.
• Pay close attention to the details of the process, and provide immediate correction to job functions being performed incorrectly.
• Monitor and keep track of daily employee performance.
• Assist production technicians by performing many of the machine set-up, material handling, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure the 5S program is followed according to supervisor’s directions.
• Encourage technicians to use the Kaizen system rather than taking counter measures on their own.
• Ensure that technicians are trained on all tasks they are performing.
• Report any violations of Site Facility Rules to supervision.

Job Context
• Performs the duties and responsibilities of assign duties to technicians according to priority sheet, allocate technicians according to standards, maintain status of priority on production floor, ensure a seamless transition at shift change, trouble shoot malfunctioning equipment, request immediate maintenance on any malfunctioning equipment, assign shift end clean up tasks and ensure the tasks are completed.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• High School Diploma or GED with three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Excellent reading and math skills required.
• Candidate must be detail oriented, have a record of good job performance, strong work ethic and demonstrates a high level of time on task.
• Must be dependable and have a good attendance record.
• Must have a good knowledge of coatings production and/or paint manufacturing equipment, and be able to solve problems regarding production of our products.
• Must demonstrate good communication and training skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Also requires extensive stooping and bending.
