Responsibility

We currently have a need for a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner in our Nashville, TN site. This person will be a part of our North America Talent Resourcing team.

Their primary focus will be supporting the recruitment of Exempt level candidates for both our Global Business Services Center (predominantly HR Support, IT and Finance roles) and the Powder Coatings Business. They will need to coordinate and execute recruitment and selection activities according to service level agreements and intake meetings. The majority of the openings will be in Engineering, Finance, Operations, Procurement and Sales.

Responsibilities:
- Develop individual recruitment strategies to support the BU's in North America in the recruitment of exempt/non-exempt level employees based on Intake Meetings with Hiring Managers
- Following Standard Operating Procedures, execute the agreed upon recruitment proposal through internal/external sourcing and searching methods, to include: Internal database, Applicant Tracking System (ATS) database, Networking, Job Board usage, Database Mining, Social Networks
- Screen candidates prior to finalizing short list of candidates for management review
- Assess candidates through interviews and other methods, giving feedback to candidates and advice to the hiring team
- Work with Hiring Managers and Human Resources Business Partners to develop and deliver candidate offers
- Maintain all recruitment activity in our ATS, including the candidate updates in the system, requisition progress, etc.
- Support the Talent Management CoE in offsite roles: College Relations, Job Fairs, Networking events, etc.
- Counsel Hiring Team on hiring for a diverse workforce and presenting them with a diverse slate of candidates
- Act responsibly in supporting the branding and image of AkzoNobel in all recruitment activity
- Act as a backup to the Talent Manager for all related Talent Acquisition issues, including the support and training of field employees and less senior Talent Acquisition Specialists
- Support other Talent Acquisition projects as necessary

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Bachelor’s degree in related field is required; MS in Human Resources or MBA with concentration in Human Resources is preferred; PHR/SPHR Certification is also preferred
- A minimum of 4-6 years of recruitment experience with high volume, exempt level recruiting is required
- Working knowledge of ATS is required, preferably Taleo
- Deep knowledge of proactive sourcing techniques through Social Media and other channels
- Ability to travel (including some overnight or international travel) is required; generally less than 10% is needed
- Must possess strong networking, communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with competency based assessments is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver customer-focused, bottom-line oriented talent acquisition solutions as a member of a functional team is required
