A commercially astute graduate with experience gained in category management, market research or data analysis you are now looking for an opportunity to work in a business that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. Look no further than AkzoNobel. Home to world class products including Dulux, Cuprinol and Sikkens, we are now looking for a category management professional to lead the team and provide actionable insight that will drive business planning.
As Category Insights Manager you will develop a deep understanding of the category, shopper and macro environment trends to aid the development of category strategies, drivers and plans. Your team will produce regular actionable information and insights reports for internal and external customers as well as work with the Brand team to provide strategic category and shopper insight for the development of Brands and Innovation. You will ensure your team delivers quality insight data for internal and external customers, updates of market forecasting and competitor analysis. We will also look to you to oversee relationships with existing and new data, insight and research suppliers to provide best value service to the business as well as develop our data sources on an ongoing basis. Important will be the ability to enhance the sales, marketing and category teams’ capability in understanding and utilising data and insights in brand and customer planning.

Your experience in category management, market research or data analysis will have given you the ability to draw relevant insights and conclusions from analysis as well as identify commercial opportunities and threats that exist for a business at a strategic and tactical level. Commercially astute, you will be comfortable analysing data from a range of sources and building compelling arguments to challenge thinking. An effective communicator you will be good at solving problems and have an understanding of key business software. You will also be the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
