Responsibility

1. Responsible for compliance with all relevant local, national and international chemical control laws and AkzoNobel product safety policies and procedures in the region.
2. Coordinates and manages all regulatory activities agreed within the BU demand plan, such as application specific registrations and PSRA related questionnaires from customers in cooperation with BU PSRA mgrs.
3. Ensures and supports product stewardship activities which adhere to the AkzoNobel corporate standard and other relevant standards such as Responsible Care®.
4. Participates AkzoNobel networks and working groups as appropriate for the role.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

1. M. Sc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related field
2. Fluent English, and prefer fluent Japanese language
3. 5 - 7 years relevant experience
4. Broad background in product regulations, hazard communication and product stewardship
5. Ability to build up a network being service oriented, organized, flexible and reliable
6. Change agent
