The Business Development Specialist will support VRNA customer retention and sales growth objectives through development and maintenance of value-adding services and sales support initiatives, primarily as part of the Acoat Selected program associated with the Sikkens brand of refinish products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop / maintain business training support materials, including instructor and student manuals, exercises, PPT, measurement tools, etc. Primarily in  a traditional classroom learning environment for internal and external (AkzoNobel / distributor / end-user) audiences.
Support internal and external (AkzoNobel / distributor / end-user) events with online registrations, customer financial analysis, composite book creation, workshop development / delivery and overall meeting management/execution. May include, but is not limited to, North American Performance Group (NAPG) meetings, Regional Performance Group (RPG) meetings, AkzoNobel Sales Meetings, Distributor Conference, NACE, SEMA, etc.
Develop / deliver / facilitate various special projects associated with sales support, sales proposals, customer support / retention, etc.
Examples include Regional Experts Events (REE), Toyota Certified Collision Center (TCCC) classes, etc.
Manage CE for Insurers program and relationship with external vendor, RegEd.
Secure / maintain industry approvals for training modules
Work on various project teams as required
Process PO’s and payment requests, pertaining to business services functions, within SRM software
