The Pulp & Performance Chemicals business in Marietta, GA has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate Distribution Specialist to manage the day to day activities of the rail fleet and support plants, warehouse and terminals with the replenishment stock process.
This position reports to the Regional Supply Chain Manager and will work closely with the Supply Planners and Customer Service team to obtain information when shipments aren’t timely. They will also build relationships with the railroads and understand processes and procedures.

Travel: 10%-15% in US and Canada

Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:

- Responsible for replenishing inventory for warehouses and terminals.
- Ensure proper documentation goes to the warehouse.
- Responsible for rail tracking  railcars on a daily basis to ensure railcars are moving in a timely manner.
- Work with individuals plants to ensure replenishment of empty railcars.
- Develop strong relationships with the railroad.
- Create and maintain customers in our rail tracking systems. This includes creating the routes for each customer.
- Create and maintain freight rates in SAP in a timely manner.
- Ensure warehouses and terminals are balance each month.
- Communicate across the business any critical issues which will interrupt supply to customers.
- Work with plants, sales and management team to ensure service levels are maintained in a crisis situation.
- Create OTMA’s and FRA’s request.
- Maintain a high sensitivity for worker safety, legal issues, Quality Goals, and regulatory compliance.  Support and work with the BU and SBU QSHERA policies, procedures, and goals.
- Participate in special projects at the request of the Regional Supply Chain Manager, Global Supply Chain Manager or Director of ISC.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner. 
- Support the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Experience and/or Educational Requirements Required:

- Minimum education is High School diploma or GED plus 4 years’ experience in Distribution activities ( railroads, terminals and warehouses).
- Experience in tracking and tracing railcars.
- Ability to work and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Analytical and problem solving skills Plant Operations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license

Experience and/or Educational Requirements Preferred:

- Technical or Business related undergraduate degree 
- Hazmat/DOT training
- Good knowledge or experience in SAP ((SD, Purchasing, QM, and Finance)  or other ERP systems
