AkzoNobel Inc.–has an outstanding opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist. The primary function of the Continuous Improvement Specialist is to drive People Services global process deployment, initiate local process development and improvement, coordinate cross-functional initiatives amongst internal groups, COEs and HRBP groups, and identify gaps. Take the lead in continuous improvement projects to improve operational efficiency & effectiveness.
 
Specific Tasks:
- Act as People Services process owner with main focus on People Services processes standardization, streamlining, optimization across the Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams

- Support in process related harmonization projects, continuous improvement and standardization projects

- Ensure People Services processes are compliant with US/Corporate internal control and audit requirement, as well as US Labor Law and related regulations

- Drive People Services global process deployment, initiate local process development and improvement, coordinate cross-functional initiatives amongst internal groups, COEs and HRBP groups, and identify gaps. Take the lead in continuous improvement projects to improve operational efficiency & effectiveness

- Build and drive the US People Services continuous improvement agenda; define and drive opportunities to streamline processes. Act as change agent to the operations team to support business transformation activities and deliver operational excellence projects/programs

- Lead operational process standardization & optimization projects to ensure consistency and quality of service delivery, in line with global process model

- Identify gaps & areas for improvement on existing processes and conduct process review & case-study/scenario-based analysis to support continuous improvement projects

- Communicate and provide relevant process training within People Services as well as with the HRBP community

- Responsible for internal and external audit on People Services’ operational processes. Ensure compliance with government regulation and compliance to global People Services standards

- Take ownership to validate and improve People Service operational process maturity, develop new local procedures & processes (in line with global process model) to ensure service level agreements are met

- Facilitate operational process review (across- People Service-teams) and its integration & alignment with the COE teams & cross-BU HRBP community

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Human Resource Management Major or related, with bachelor degree or above
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in HR fields in large multi-national company
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with HR systems, data analysis, process improvement
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and HR related technology
- Solid understanding of HR processes, functions, and data required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, mature communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, customer service mindset, and project coordination skills
