AkzoNobel Inc.–has an outstanding opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing of monthly Business Unit (BU) results, including monthly and quarterly management reporting. Also, work with key persons in the businesses and corporate departments to understand and explain our financial performance both internally and externally. In addition, increase forecasting capabilities for the Business Unit.
Specific Tasks:

Business Unit Financial analyst
  -  Interprets financial data to determine past performance and to project future
  -  Develops financial tools, templates and reports that facilitate the BU’s
     forecasting, trending, and results analysis activities 
  -  Collects / compiles planning data and analyzes patterns
  -  Performs ad hoc financial analysis and participates or leads BU project

SAR cost control
  -  Cost center controlling for the G&A functions and RD&I functions in the
  -  Reporting and Analysis on global SAR costs

  -  Reports on sales from New Product Introductions and provides insight in
     development against plan, to support business growth via innovation
  -  Involved in financial post launch evaluation: reviews actual financial delivery
     after launch with the purpose to identify the main causes for deviations and
     translate this into improvements for future projects
  -  Supports with finance data that is needed for sustainability reporting

Standardized reporting
-  Continues to develop, implement and run central reports on Business Unit
    results: Global market report by region, Global cost center reporting

Functional Skills & Knowledge
  -  Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  -  Excellent knowledge of SAP, BW & Hyperion; Excel and other Microsoft
     Office programs

Work experiences:
  -  Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience
  -  Functional: has worked in at least 1 part of the function
  -  Project: project member or leading a functional project within the own unit
  -  Work Scope: has been exposed to working and impacting at 1 site
