Our Specialty Chemicals Business Unit delivers innovative coatings solutions to customers in the key markets of aerospace, yacht, consumer electronics and automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM). We are the only aerospace supplier with Basecoat/Clearcoat approved at both Boeing and Airbus, and we also have a global presence in automotive. Our Yacht Coatings business has a global footprint, a strong brand, strong product performance and performs well in the professional market, lending to our reputation as a leader in innovation.
This position is primarily responsible for managing OEM relationships of assigned customer accounts, IT Wireless.  Identify new program opportunities from OEM and coordinate activities within the organization to secure business.  Focus on new business development and troubleshooting problems within key markets.
·         Focus on Assigned OEM customer (Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, HP, Dell…etc), work with local teams to gain share at each.  Assess requirements of OEM/Tiers and coordinate AkzoNobel resources accordingly.
o   Present the various AkzoNobel technologies and coordinate efforts to gain product approvals.
o   Develop a strong technical understanding of new and existing product lines.
o   Demonstrate technical selling ability to explain unique technologies to prospective customers.
o   Assist tier suppliers with part approval process.
·         Develop a thorough understanding of the market and value chain.  Document appropriately.
o   Translate information into business strategic and tactical goals and objectives.
o   Coordinate account sales activities by targeting, developing and monitoring sales function and performance.
o   Meet personal sales targets as established, incorporating the full range of products/services within identified markets or geography.
o   Typical accounts will be high challenge, high complexity, diverse customers that require ongoing client relationship support.
o   Regularly calls on assigned existing and potential customers to maintain close contact with the marketplace.
o   Cascades information to designated customers on features and benefits of available products/services. 
o   Identifies and follows up on significant business opportunities, pinpoints existing and/or potential problems and arranges for resolution.
o   Delivers periodical business reviews and actively participates in development of business growth and sales support plans for designated customers.
·         Independently prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful outcome of transactions.
o   Provide global support to customers in the United States and Asia
o   Travel to OEM customers on a regular basis to manage new and existing programs throughout the product life cycle
o   Seek growth opportunities through new business

·         Bachelor’s Degree in a related field   
·         Chinese Language knowledge an asset (desired)
·         Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Account Management or Project Management. 
·         Background in Consumer Electronics
·         Experience in coatings for plastics Highly desired
·         Able to travel 50% of the time
