1. Waterborne Products development and modification independently. Have to ensure that product developed meet customer’s requirements
2. Provide guidance and lead/coach on-site technicians to solve customer complaints by running proper trouble shooting independently
3. Work as focal point for waterborne products related projects - SGE, lead and work with other chemists, to ensure the successful result
4. Responsible for proper plan of key trial project
5. Raw material evaluation and replacement and cost saving project
6. Customer panel testing and competitor sample evaluation and bench work
7. To prepare the Product Data Sheet and generate Material Safety Data Sheet (from Web Application) of existing or new products.
8. To obtain the Product Data Sheet, Material Safety Data Sheet and SEPA Form of new raw materials for submission to RMFI for creation of permanent code or temporary operation code in Optiva. In charge of the filing of these documents.
9. To submit raw material Introduction Form to site’s Purchasing Dept for creation of the permanent code or temporary code in SAP.
10. To approve responsible products’ first time production batch ticket, and monitor production batch if it is first time running.

1. Chemical or polymer or relevant chemistry Bachelor degree
2. At least 7 years wood coatings industry experience
3. At least 5 years work experience in coating R&D job including resin & additive evaluation for cost saving and performance improvement
4. Good English reading and writing ability
5. Good learning attitude, team work spirit and stability
