Responsibility

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Superintendent, with an absolute minimum amount of supervision, specify, install, and maintain plant  I/E systems to maximize reliability and safety while minimizing costs.
 
- Supervise contract electricians, including assignment and timesheet management.
- Manage test equipment and records.
- Perform PMs of instruments.
- Provide craft support for advanced troubleshooting issues.
- Perform electrical work per work orders.
- Perform advanced diagnostic testing including Infrared scans.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party electrical work.
- Create and maintain checklists for defined PMs.
- Manage the environmental controls for MCC rooms and other control cabinets.
- Support technical procurement of electrical components.
- Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

A minimum of five years working in a chemical (or equivalent) facility in the Electrical with steady progression to a craft-person rating. 


Successful candidates will possess an Electrician’s license through the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB), a Certified Journeyman card or an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering.  


Our primary requirement is for instrument skills but a demonstrated ability to respond to and safely make electrical repairs is also required.


 In addition, the following are necessary for success in this position:

- Expertise with electrical circuit troubleshooting.
- Fluent with office software, QWB, SAP, and CAD.
- Fluent with Allen Bradley ladder logic creation and editing.
- Fluent in Fanuc robot basic programming and troubleshooting.
- Fluent in 5S concepts.
