Experienced at managing projects and overseeing external contractors you are ready to develop your career in a business that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. That business is AkzoNobel. Home to world class products we are recruiting a skilled Project Engineer to ensure we maximise manufacturing performance to meet customer requirements.
 
As Project Engineer we will look to you to develop customer briefs by preparing and costing project plans for approval as well as manage the delivery of agreed projects to deadline and budget.  Working on multiple projects you will develop full engineering specifications, guarantee the quality of work and support the tender process. You will also monitor and produce project progress reports and ensure we meet objectives without any negative impacts on health, safety and the environment. In addition you will identify training needs and prepare training documentation for operating personnel. Important will be the ability to make sure work complies with statutory, regulatory and company standards.
 
An engineering graduate (ideally in Mechanical Engineering) you must have experience in an operational or project/process engineering role and hold an HSE certificate such as IOSH or NEBOSH. You are skilled at managing people, overseeing multiple assignments and working as part of a team. An effective project manager you will be good at negotiating and managing expectations as well as comfortable delivering training and producing training guides
