Responsibility

Assess requirements of manufacturers of thermoset composite materials to identify new customers, new products, and new applications for the company’s thermoset peroxide products. Assess requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturers of topical prescription and OTC drugs to identify new customers, new products, and new applications for the company’s nonpolymer organic peroxide products. Assess requirements of manufacturers of rubber and thermoplastic composite materials to identify new customers, new products, and new applications for the company’s polymer additive products products. Collaborate with customers’ procurement, logistics, and product development teams to determine their needs for customized solutions from the company’s portfolio of cross-linking peroxide, thermoset peroxide, polymer additive, and pharmaceutical active products. Keep up-to-date account profiles on key customers, including customer capacity and process information, products and quantities purchased as well as competitors’ information.  Record and file visit reports and new business opportunities in CRM system. Prepare, gain approval for, and deliver price quotes. Investigate new business potential of all requested samples. File periodic expense account submissions and engage in contract negotiations.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

 
Master's degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, plus two (2) years of experience in sales or account management of pharmaceutical active ingredients, cross-linking peroxides, thermoset peroxides, and thermoplastic polymer additive products. In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus five (5) years of experience as described above. Travel within the US up to 70% of working time.
