• Achieving plant targets for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Production and Cost
• Executing Management of Change when required
• Maintaining plant environmental compliance
• Plan and coordinate production engineering processes on daily basis to produce high quality products.
• Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production.
• Develop operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives.
• Identify unsafe operations and practices and report the same to supervisor immediately.
• Establish safety procedures and environmental regulations for employees and site.
• Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production.
• Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
• Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
• Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities.
• Provides training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals.
• Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes.
• Develop best practices to improve production capacity, yield, quality and reliability.
• Investigate problems, analyse root causes and derive resolutions.
• Aid in budget and forecast preparation by monitoring cost and profitability.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• At least 2 years’ experience in a production engineering role
• At least 5 years’ experience in a chemical plant environment
• Six Sigma certification preferred
• Experience managing capital project nice to have
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
• Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectives
• Able to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledgeable of area process equipment, chemistry and controls
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
