Responsibility

- Lead the development of a structured Site Sourcing Program for raw materials and NPR items. Support strategic activities in order to create structural improvements and to deliver enhanced results within Purchasing for site Mahad and BU Polymer Chemistry
- Site Sourcing: lead the site Purchasing organization towards a transformation that allows the organisation to get the best value out of the Indian raw materials supply market:- Create an Sourcing Plan in alignment with the BU organisation and the product strategies for site Mahad
- Implement the allocation plan from the BU Purchasing, with new cases of local vendor development  and therefore impacting the global target of 10mil eur savings/year
- Actively manage all Mahad Site-  suppliers, resulting in high supplier performance against competitive pricing

 
 
- Raw Material Purchasing: successfully provide FC India production site with reliable and CSR compliant suppliers, competitive prices, on-spec deliveries and sufficient alternative sources:- In alignment with FC product strategies
- With focus on Financial Objectives (realisation of cost and OWC improvement; provision of updated costs trends)

 
- Non Product related Spend: Provide support to site team/functions on NPR sourcing. - Be in close interaction with all site functional heads and provide best of the sourcing service to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Be actively involved in all site level projects and contribute by timely procurement thereby meeting the deadlines.
- Work in tandem with the site team to achieve the site level objectives like OWC by improving payment terms, cost reduction, quality improvements.

 
 
- Other basic accountabilities required:- Ensure effective communication (build close relationships with the relevant stakeholders within India; and OneProcurement)
- Support and drive development (organisational and personal development)
- Secure the successful contribution of FC Purchasing to the Sustainability objectives of AkzoNobel

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Educational Level Strong academic background in pure or applied chemistry (BSc, B.Tech/BE/Diploma in Engg)
- Working Experience: 5+ years’ experience in Procurement/Supply Chain in a Chemical/Coatings organisations, purchasing and experience with organizational improvement processes in purchasing
- Skills: Strong functional skills such as Negotiation, International trade. Excellent communication skills interpersonal skills
- Language Skills:  Fluent in English and Hindi. Local regional language Marathi will be strong asset.
- Working platforms: Should have a good knowledge/work experience of working on a ERP or SAP system. Should be conversant with computers and have basic minimum skills of making reports, presentations and data analysis.
