Our NPR Procurement organization is committed to the highest standards of NPR (non-product related) Procurement and aims to deliver best-in-class services that support AN SC’s strategic objectives by continuously improving our NPR spend-down program. In order to achieve this we are strengthening and centralizing NPR Procurement to better leverage its commercial buying power, increase procurement involvement in CapEx projects, and better fit our current and future business needs.
Within this context your mission in this role is to manage and develop procurement for Consulting, Marketing and Legal services across our Business Units (BU) and Corporate Functions, taking into account their requirements as well as NPR Procurement policies and guidelines.
You will join a 150-employee NPR organization. The role and its responsibilities
This is a high profile and influential role based at Amsterdam or Arnhem, the Netherlands, from where your core task is to manage and develop global NPR procurement for the above mentioned categories, applying standard process and sourcing methods like SSM.
This requires you to expertly manage the supplier base as you work closely with relevant stakeholders and other functions, BUs and procurement. In doing so you secure a competitive and timely supply within the provided specifications, proactively driving short- and long-term spend reduction, process improvements (TCO) and innovation to benefit stakeholders.
Further, you work closely with the suppliers and our internal organization to ensure contract implementation and compliance, proactively ensuring that the chosen supplier base has effectively met the business requirements by providing high quality products or service at competitive cost. In doing so you act as the main point of contact with suppliers for contractual and commercial topics, and you take ownership of issues related to the working relationship with internal stakeholders.
At all times you maintain a continuous approach to learning and market intelligence in order to keep up with the latest developments.
As such, this role demands the ability to drive and steer multiple projects while managing conflicting business interests and establishing common ground across AN SC. It also demands the ability to assess the underlying financial results of a specific course of action, and an understanding of the way in which procurement systems and processes impact the bottom line.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

 To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration or another relevant discipline, or comparable professional experience and knowledge gained over a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a global sourcing environment;

- Able to deploy excellent negotiation and problem solving skills while working and executing with a high level of autonomy;

- Experience of sourcing in the mentioned categories and knowledge of the industry is an advantage;

- The highest levels of integrity and business ethics, along with sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to adapt your approach accordingly;

- Excellent knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management and category management, along with expertise and knowledge of markets and dynamics;

- Powerful interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, including a strong Microsoft Office capability and fluent written and spoken English.
