Services Akzo Nobel Coatings Distributors and customers by assisting them to reach their business goals through the effective application of their knowledge, experience, efforts, and Akzo Nobel resources.  Responsible for growing overall Akzo Nobel sales volume in their territory and assisting in other territories as needed.
Achieve assigned territory budget and business plan by maintaining current Akzo accounts and selling new accounts.
Have a professional understanding of the features and benefits of all Akzo products & services and able to communicate them to customers and prospects.
Evaluate customer needs & goals by utilizing a Mutual Action Plan on an annual basis.
Coordinate the involvement of Technical, Services, and Strategic Sales to support the Mutual Action Plans of customers.  Essentially, coordinate the appropriate team and resources necessary to satisfy customer needs.
Educate and develop Distributor staff and customers on the proper and effective use of Akzo products. 
Continually develop multiple relationships with customers and promote development of other Akzo staff relationships with customers (3x3 Relationships)
Manage expense budgets, company assets & equipment to maximize the use of company resources.
Complete all training and reports on a timely basis.
Adhere to all Akzo health and safety policies at all times in daily activities.
Treat all Akzo team members with professional respect and consideration at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (required and preferred)
Minimum High School Diploma with related successful 3-year sales experience.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college preferred.

Must be able to pass background screening and have a good driving record.

Technical knowledge of coatings applications and interest in the auto body industry required.
