1. Prioritizing resources correctly with respect to opportunities
Due to the broad scope of possible applications for the Expancel product range, a large number of business opportunities can be found. These opportunities vary in ease of the technical proof, time span to commercialization, competitive forces, potential revenue, and probability of success. The challenge of the holder of this position is to balance the opportunity portfolio and to assign the right amount of resources to each of them in order to maximize the benefit for the business long term. Business insight, product know-how, and a good understanding of the stakeholders in the various industries are critical success factors for making the right priorities.


2. Manage supply and demand situation:
Due to the single production site of unexpanded product, combined with a number of expansion facilities both at our own production sites as well as at tollers and customers, there is a level of complexity in making a product offer to the customers. Lack of awareness of the complexity of the supply chain can entail customer dissatisfaction due to long lead times and/or product unavailability. Hence the holder of this position needs to be able to drive demand forecasting in his region with a high level of quality and long term thinking while adhering to stringent time lines.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• Master´s Degree or equivalent in chemistry, chemical engineering, or business administration
• Sales experience from B2B in chemical industry > 5 years
• Strategic insight and business understanding, ability to comprehend market and competition landscape
• Strong ability in building and managing relationships
• Strong ability to manage price, negotiate and closing deals including multi-level contact selling, and manage contracts
• Skilled in identifying and validating business opportunities by understanding customer needs and translating them into a value proposition
• Good understanding of supply chain and internal service processes
• Ability and drive to build, develop, and lead a team, managing its performance and coaching for results.
• Collaborative cross-functional team player
• Excellent communication skills, such as probing, listening and presenting
• Excellent language skills, oral and in writing, in local language and English
• Embodies passion, the ambition to drive for results, discipline, optimism, has an open mindset, and is self-confident and empathic in his/her demeanor.
