Responsibility


The Site Buyer manages and ensures the purchasing function for materials, services and/or equipment (PR and/or NPR) for a specific site or sites, within the policies and guidelines established by AkzoNobel Procurement and within SMU requirements, to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply at optimum cost within specs.


§  Manages Site specific  spend portfolio PR and NPR including PFR and Tolling.


§  Negotiate prices and contracts which deliver competitive advantage maximising leverage and optimising working capital as agreed with SMUPD  and Regional Leader buyer(s)


§  Implements contracts, process  & projects at site level


§  Manages the operational activities of Procurement for the site, e.g., Total Cost of Ownership, Feedback, Escalation of issues , service and quality.


§  Analyze current sourcing strategies and propose improvements


§  Ensure collection and analyzing of key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas for innovation, alternative suppliers


§  Formulate requirements and specifications for own specific site spend within NPR


§  Provide monthly/quarterly price updates and deliberate with site management on priorities and issues and advice budget holders and experts in choosing suppliers and products


§  Initiate and lead implementation of synergy, cost savings and risk reduction programs related to the supply of PR/NPR, and processes and systems


§  Ensure feedback on performance of current suppliers and identify alternatives


§  Analyze all supplier recommended price changes and negotiate and implement and manage supply agreements and contracts, inform relevant parties and implement procedures


§  Maintains relationships with (alternative) vendors and contractors and ensure performance


§  Optimize and provide information recurrently/on ongoing bases on purchased goods and provide input on indexes and forecasts


§  Execution of purchase to pay process: place purchase orders, receive commodities, process and deal with invoices, advise and suggest optimizations to the purchase process


§  Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures with regard to personal, conduct, HSE and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards and ensuring that all R&D staff in the team(s) works according to AN HSE and compliance policies


Responsibilities:


Part of the site purchasing function for materials, services and  equipment. Contributes to the sourcing and supply of goods and service to the site. Supports the implementation of purchase policies and guidelines established by BU/SMU/AkzoNobel sourcing.


-     Responsible for maintaining masterdata and mantianing Info record in our systems such as SAP, SRM and any other relevant system.


-     Deliver competitive advantage maximising leverage and actively contributing to reduce the indirect (NPR),  administrative costs with SMUPD and Regional Procurement Manager


-     Procurement SRM power user & responsible for Procurement SAP VIM workflow


-   Participate in cost savings and risk reduction programs related to the supply of PR/NPR, and processes and systems .

Job requirements/Candidate profile

·          Apprenticeship as industrial clerk (m,f) or Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Business or equivalent


·          Experience procurement processes and shopping negotiations


·          Experience SAP Shopping Tools, Ideally, SRM experience


·          Experience with MS Office


·          Willingness to work in teams


·          Very good command of English
