AkzoNobel to highlight new viscoelastic surfactant for completion fluids at SPE ATCE

New Armovis® Complete builds viscosity in completion fluids at high temperature and pressure for optimized gravel packing

AkzoNobel will highlight its new Armovis® Complete viscoelastic surfactant (VES) for oil and gas well completion fluids at The SPE (Society of Professional Engineers) Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE), at the RAI Centre October 27 to 29, 2014 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. AkzoNobel is the Conference’s first-ever Sustainability Partner, and also a Group Leader (Materials Industry, Chemicals) in the 2014 Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Designed for use in high temperature and pressure wells, Armovis® Complete improves viscosity in high-density brines across a range of bottom hole temperatures up to 375°F. It offers the ideal rheology for effectively dispersing, transporting and placing gravel for well completions in poorly consolidated reservoirs.
