Chelating agents are your best option for controlling metal-catalyzed reactions in your mechanical pulp production. Our Dissolvine® chelating agents will remove unwanted metal ions, and deactivate any that may remain.
Dissolvine combines amine and carboxylic acid chemistry in one molecule. This powerful chemical bond yields amino-polycarboxylates, which form more highly stable chelates with metal ions than any other type of chelating agent. Removing these chelates will optimize your pulp brightness.
