Environmental initiatives

All our products and solutions are designed to minimize waste production, reduce carbon footprint and create more value from fewer resources, delivering both economic and environmental sustainability across the entire value chain.

To determine the effectiveness of our solutions, we compare and evaluate them to other mainstream market solutions and across the entire value chain. Our ambition is to offer Eco-Premium Solutions (EPS), which provide the same or better functionality in customer application and/or end-of-life (i.e., a “downstream” benefit) in at least one of the following criteria:
  • Improve energy efficiency (i.e., lower energy consumption)
  • Use natural resources/raw materials instead of fossil fuels
  • Reduce waste and/or toxicity emission
  • Increase safety (i.e., fewer accidents during production and/or transportation)
  • Optimize use of available land (i.e., smaller footprint)
  • Improve health/well-being

Our research and developmentbleaching services and support personnel collaborate closely to develop new solutions that both achieve our EPS goals and satisfy your sustainability. More about our environmental initatives can be found in the Annual report - Sustainability statements.
