"The business can only grow as fast as its people"

Kashif's story

Since joining AkzoNobel, Kashif has enjoyed various management roles that have challenged him, improved his skills and given him increasing responsibility. He has been responsible for up to 85 staff, budgets of up to £10M and has developed a wider business and cultural understanding by living and working around the UK and overseas. Within a short five years, Kashif has found himself progressing from graduate trainee to Production Manager.

AkzoNobel believes the business can only grow as fast as it grows its people. Kashif has experienced this first hand through various internal leadership and best practice courses, and support through an Executive MBA and Project Management qualification.

Thanks to the business’s focus on personal development, Kashif has been involved in supplier selection, contract agreements and the design of a £6M innovation packing equipment for filling lines as part of a £150M new build project.

The investment in employees is one of the main reasons Kashif would recommend a career with AkzoNobel, as well as the company’s willingness to encourage people to take on more challenging and responsible roles, the collaborative working environment and AkzoNobel’s passion for health, safety and environment (HSE) and sustainability.
